Since my 2d Asus Transformer tf700t seems to have flaked out on me (won't boot, can't get to recovery, &c) I'm looking for another brand (e.g. Samsung &c) with similar size and specs especially the screen quality. The screen quality is why I went with the infinity in the first place. It's absolutely beautiful for reading books and comics. I don't really play games.
It also needs to be easy to unlock, root and install custom roms (something the infinity apparently doesn't like).
I've been rooting and customising since the G1 but the Asus really perplexes me regarding this.
Any suggestions for a replacement tablet? I'm on a budget so 200+/- would be great unless there's something REALLY spectacular that I should consider.
